Now Canada pays tribute to the best band in the world (the group is from Toronto). Formed in January 2002, Elevation played their first show just weeks later and within a year had established themselves as a world class U2 tribute show, performing in Las Vegas for over a thousand U2 fans on St. Patrick's Day 2003. Since then Elevation has performed hundreds of shows across Canada as well as the USA. And in spring 2004, Elevation undertook their longest outing to date, a seven time-zone, ten day, twelve-aeroplane trip to Italy, Kosovo and Bosnia to play for US and NATO forces, performing for over five thousand military personnel. In addition to club gigs in front of packed houses, Elevation has headlined at major summer festivals and performed at international U2 fan events and staged special shows. People travel from all over the world to see Elevation perform and are always amazed at the incredible authenticity and energy that the band brings to their shows.
