Girl Guides National Sears Registration Day

Back to School Time, Time to Join Guiding!

Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada celebrates National Registration Day at Sears stores across the country Toronto, Ontario – August 3, 2010 – It’s that time of year again, when parents, kids and active community members look forward to the fall and begin planning their activities for the upcoming year. Sears Canada is proud to again be partnering with Girl Guides of Canada to launch National Sears Registration Day on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at stores across the country. Girls and adult leaders will be at Sears stores nationwide to build awareness about Guiding and provide registration information for girls aged 5 – 17 and women aged 18+. Community members will have an opportunity to chat with girls and volunteers about their experiences and learn more about the exciting opportunities Guiding has to offer.

Nationwide information on participating Sears stores and the hours Girl Guide Units will be in attendance is available at www.girlguides.ca. National Registration Day is a precursor to Girl Guides of Canada’s National Registration Week from September 11-19, 2010, where girls and women can join Guiding in their community.
