Homemade Booze
Posted July 14th, 2010 by WoodyI have had many homemade beverages… in fact my good friend Mr. Stevenson has a wonderful batch of brownish ale that we have been enjoying over the past few weeks. Generally speaking though, when someone pulls out homemade booze, wine or otherwise, I cringe… It’s never better then what a professional can brew. The U-Brew operation that we now have here in Regina is doing it’s best to cleaning up some of the homemade wines and back yard bucket brewers make… but for the most part, I prefer not to have yeasty chunk surprises in the bottom of the bottles I tip… until now.

Don’t Blame Famous People
Posted July 7th, 2010 by WoodyDon’t blame the famous for being outrageous… The same personality traits that thrust them to stardom (generally when mismanaged) also thrust them into trouble. Most of them have low self-esteem and could be diagnosed bipolar on the manic side of depressive. Just because they are very beautiful or very funny or very good at appearing on screen in different roles doesn’t mean that they are extraverted people that crave the constant spot light.
Humidity?
Posted June 23rd, 2010 by WoodyIt’s so humid I had to stick my head in my humidor to dry off… if we were ever to reach 100% humidity would we drown?
Happy Fathers Day
Posted June 18th, 2010 by WoodyAs a value added service to you the listener I have decided to impart the wisdom me father gave to me about “the talk”. If you are a dad and don’t want to have to have “the talk” or are confused about how to explain the birds and the bee’s then simply have your child, who is budding on adulthood read the follow: In life there are birds and bee’s… the Birds are elegant and beautiful and fluffy and soft… and to watch them sore is amazing. The bee’s are hard working and diligent and have a stinger… that they try and sting the birds with.
The Grey Cup Ring Thing
Posted June 15th, 2010 by WoodyYes, most people in Saskatchewan hold the concept of winning a Grey Cup ring up with having a their first child or winning a lottery. It is very important and if you are blessed with the honor you should hold that memory, and all the memorabilia that goes with it, near and dear to your heart. Yet… we forget that the universe does not end at our boarders. Some of our players come from different places and the “Grey Cup” to them is just another trophy for wining just another game… another shift at work per say.
The Fairy Tale Ends For Philly

Betty White… Stop!
Posted June 7th, 2010 by WoodyOk, enough! Do I have to be the voice of reason on Betty White? She is so sweet and such a nice old lady but do we have to drag her out, appearance after appearance to tell “how old am I, jokes!” Betty you are a national treasure… Betty, we can learn so much from you… but please… as the only surviving ‘Golden Girl’, spend your final years on this planet with dignity. You deserve more then being the punch line of your generation because you out lived your peers. Is it the money Betty… cause if it’s the money I will gladly start a fund to allow you to retire…

British Petroleum’s Golf in the Gulf
Posted May 28th, 2010 by WoodySo I was hopping BP’s top kill strategy would pay dividends… but when I hear that they were using, among other scraps, golf balls to help plug the hole, that’s where my faith in the process turned to skepticism. Golf Balls!? At what point did the executives and engineers trying to stop this catastrophic tragedy come up with the concept that golf balls are the answer to their problems… crushed rock, ok… bits of old concrete… sure, golf balls? What they need isn’t golf balls but the world’s greatest golfer… Tiger is great at plugging holes…
