Some thoughts from the weekend...

  • Wow - we really must have angered the football gods - in addition to the injuries we already have, we can add Jeremy O'Day and Wes Cates to the list.  When's it gonna stop?
  • The Riders are 8-4 - deal with it.  If you would have told me earlier this season that we would have lost the following players for any length of time this season:  Flick, Fantuz, Dominguez, Cates, O'Day, Johnson, Chick, Chunky, Bowman, Dressler, Hughes, Grant, Szarka, Boreham, Crandell and Durant and we'd be 8-4, I'd have laughed you out of town.
  • Way to go, red-neck beer-can chucking pinheads at Mosaic Stadium Saturday night - you gave all Rider fans a black eye all the way across the country.  And don't give me any crap that a couple Lions players threw back - that's the grade two equivelent of "He started it!"  Way to go - I'm sure RonLancaster would have been proud...
  • Anyone else remember the last time we had a good thunderstorm like that roll through on the first day of fall?  Me neither.
  • And speaking of thunderstorms, up in the NW corner of Regina, we had dime-sized hail mixed with the rain - after then rain stopped, we had some quarter-sized hail fall out of the sky - very strange for so late in the season.
  • Have you checked out the new TVshow called "Fringe" yet?  WOW - if you were a fan of the X-Files tv show, you'll LOVE "Fringe" - next episode is Tuesday.  Check it out - it's awesome!
  • Saw the preview for the new season of "24" over the weekend - Jack is back!  Look for a November 23rd debut.
  • SEASON PREMIERE OF "HEROES" tonight!!  WHOO-HOOO!  As well as the season premieres of "Two And A Half Men", "The Big Bang Theory" and "CSI: Miami" tonight - don't phone the house this evening...
