Some Rock News

Well, I wish I could tell you who's playing Mosaic Stadium this summer, but I'll refrain as that's how rumours get started. Here's some things I do know:
- Whitesnake will be releasing a new album next month with a tour to follow. The new album will be called "Good To Be Bad" and will be tentatively released on April 22nd. Any Whitesnake fans may also be looking forward to the release of a newly remastered 3-disk set to celebrate the groups 30-year anniversary. A live DVD is also said to be in the works.
- Alice Cooper has signed with German record label Steamhammer/SPV and will be releasing "Along Came A Spider" sometime in the fall. He's also planning a book release on the subject of golf. Alice Cooper, Golf Monster: A Rock ‘N’ Roller’s 12 Steps To Becoming A Golf Addict is planned for release in May. The book is not just about golf, however, and it also covers issues such as his battle with alcoholism, which nearly derailed his career in the 1970’s.
- And Def Leppard has released the cover art for the upcoming "Songs From The Sparkle Lounge" which is due out April 29th - it's a tip of the hat to the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" cover - whaddya think?

Trust me - as soon as I find out who's playing Mosaic this summer, you'll be the first to know.
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Scotty

Iron Maiden
It oughta be Iron Maiden playing Mosaic. But I heard they are gonna play Brandt Centre?! What a kick in the nuts to them. Play to 300,000 at Rock in Rio, then for 2000 in Regina. It's like Spinal Tap. If I were them I'd say we play Mosaic or we go to Saskatoon to Sask Place.
