Playoffs and my pool suddenly done for me!
Posted May 5th, 2008 by Hugh DixonWell the Habs are now out of the playoffs and the Sharks as well....my playoff hockey pool took some huge hits recently to which no amount of math could save it, and my playoff hopes for Montreal as the last Canadaian team to possibly hoist the holy grail have officially been dashed as well. I sit here and wonder what will happen for my Vancouver Canucks in the off-season...will the new GM Mike Gillis fire the head coach and replace him? Will Naslund be back? Will he trade the Sedin's?

As the price of oil hits $200.00 a barrel this will equate to a pump price of about $2.25/L. I know I know Europe pays that and more for gas… but that is a direct result of over ambitious social programs that have lead to extreme taxation. Europe has also developed it’s infrastructure around compact cars. I hate compact cars but at $2.25/L is 6 times more than gas was worth when I started driving. What will I be forced to do…
