Despite the desperation of the determined…I hate being dry.

When we moved to the city four and half years ago and moved into West Hill, I heard someone refer to it as "Mouse Hill" - now I understand why.

So far this fall we've caught 10 mice in the garage with traps and Lord knows how many our dachshunds have caught. 

Anyone got any tips to get them all?

Two more in the traps yesterday...we must be cleaning out the neighboorhood!

Just wanted to say thank you to all As we progress into the year 2010, I want to thank all of you for your educational e-mails over the past year. I am totally screwed up now and have little chance of recovery. I no longer open a bathroom door without using a paper towel, or have the waitress put lemon slices in my ice water without worrying about the bacteria on the lemon peel. I can't use the remote in a hotel room because I don't know what the last person was doing while flipping through the adult movie channels.

Well, the NFL season is set to get underway. The debate always comes up about the CFL vs. the NFL. Even though I do prefer the Canadian game because of the 3 downs and wider field which encourages more passing, and let's face it, passing is exciting, I don't want to go there. I'm just happy that we have more football options to watch. I love the game - when I know the players and the teams. Of course we get that with the CFL, but in Canada, we're so inundated with the NFL that we know the names and teams there too. College football is a little tough for me.

           When I proudly watch our heavily touted Saskatchewan Roughrider offense I do not see a group of men who have been playing together, for the most part, for 3 years. I do not see a cohesive unit that almost won a Grey Cup! I see an offensive line that is sluggish. I see former star receivers... now shuffling off the field. I see Darien Durant... and I find him to be emotionally detached. What is wrong? What has changed?

So when I was on holidays, we had to get a septic tank at the cabin. Man, what a headache.

After finding out our first one wasn't CSA approved to bury, we sold that one and bought one that was CSA approved to bury.  But when the Bobcat operator (Kenny from K&G Bobcat in Saskatoon - great guy!) was filling the hole back in with dirt after we pushed the tank in, the rain started pouring and the tank started to buckle from the weight of the dirt/mud/clay - we buried it too deep - who knew?!

Don't worry about embarrassing yourself on the radio with Jack's $1000 Minute.  I've found the stupidest person and there's no way you could top it - so go ahead give us a call weekday mornings on the Tim, Shirley & Woody Show - Jack's $1000 Minute on the :40's.
